What to Make of TabTrade - A New CFD Broker in 2026

TabTrade - What It Is

Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.

His background tells you something. It suggests the founder has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.

The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities institutional desks use. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.

Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a broker that is a few months old, that range is solid.

Platforms

They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from a single account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you know a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Many people find it more natural after comparing.

FIX API is available for automated strategies but is only on the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is reportedly in the works. That will make the platform set once it is live.

What You Pay

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Straightforward. $0 to start. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. TabTrade requires zero deposit.

VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not relevant to typical accounts. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

The speed is the thing Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. The average platform run 100ms to 300ms.

Should you care? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says something about priorities.

Pair that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package makes sense. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.

Regulation

Now, the part that requires honesty. The broker is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If that is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.

But. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It should inform how you think about it.

The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense is your call.

Deposit Bonus

TabTrade runs a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Standard deposit match. You put money in, the broker add bonus funds. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before you can withdraw the bonus. Review the fine print before funding.
